Si oui:

I do think that progress is always synonymous with happiness because if you progress you become better and you learn more so you improve and improving is always a good thing. With progress you become more powerful and even sometimes more popular and you make more money so you obviously become HAPPY!

Si non:

I do not think it is always linked with happiness because sometimes you progress but maybe not in the way you wanted or because it caused something to go wrong in your life.

Et juste pour être clair, "synonymous" = synonyme.
