Hmm... I think that progress is not always synonymous to happiness cause of few thing.

Frist progress is a curious word because progress can be an avantage for a camp and a disavantage for an other camp, so its complicated to say if it is close to happiness.

But we can also say that the progress helped the hummanity to grind to his actual form(who is very evolved), so it can be a real source of happiness.

And progress is a thing who can be natural or pushed up by people who will this progress.

So we can say that the progress is a curious thing who can be synonymous to happiness but its not always true.
